yoyo so the this whole week everyday i wrote things i wanna do for the day and my delusional vision, so down below is just that
i am also getting consisten with me yt series check it out also
alright this week was weird.
like idk if i actually did a lot or if i just thought a lot.
i think it was more of the second one.
the funny thing is i started this week thinking accessibility was the problem.
i’m ending it thinking i was the problem.
not in a depressing way lol.
more like... i was trying so hard to figure out the perfect direction that i completely forgot products aren’t built by thinking. they’re built by putting messy things in front of people and watching them struggle.
because for like three days straight i kept asking myself...
“where should tappr go?”
“should it become b2b?”
“should it become an ai memory?”
“should it become another interface?”
“does accessibility kill everything?”
and genuinely... i don’t think i got a single answer.
which is annoying because i love having answers.
i also realised i’ve somehow become really good at sounding like i’m making progress.
i’ll write down
“talk to more people.”
then tomorrow i’ll write
“need to talk to more people.”
then the day after...
“yeah i should probably talk to more people.”
😭
bro.
just go talk to people.
i think that’s why buildspace worked so well for me.
back then i never really knew what i was doing either.
i’d just build something stupid, show it to someone, they’d hate one part of it, i’d fix it, repeat.
somewhere along the way i started believing i needed clarity before i could move.
which is kinda the opposite of how i’ve always built things.
another thing i can’t stop thinking about...
i still believe mobile is where all of this goes.
every time i open my phone it just feels...
dead.
everything is static.
same apps.
same buttons.
same layout.
same experience for literally everyone.
and somehow we all accepted that.
it feels weird.
like these models are getting insanely smart every few months.
yet the interface hasn’t really changed.
we’re still just tapping rectangles.
there has to be something there.
i don’t know what.
but there has to be.
the dangerous part though...
it’s very easy to fall in love with sentences like
“the interface for the next billion people.”
that sounds sick.
i’d probably like the tweet if someone else posted it.
but then i remembered...
bro i don’t even have ten users 😭
that’s such a funny disconnect.
thinking about a billion people when i haven’t even solved it for ten.
maybe that’s actually the move.
don’t think about billions.
make ten people obsessed.
then maybe a hundred.
then figure the rest out later.
one thing i did realise this week is “cool idea” means absolutely nothing.
like genuinely.
it’s probably one of the nicest ways someone can reject your product.
because nobody wants to be mean.
they’ll say
“bro that’s actually sick.”
“damn that’s cool.”
“you should keep building.”
then they’ll never open it again.
the real feedback starts the second it’s on their phone.
that’s when people stop being polite.
they’ll press random buttons.
they’ll get confused.
they’ll ask questions you never even thought about.
that’s the fun part.
i think i need way more of that.
way less conversations.
way more installs.
i also went to sarvam’s epoch this week.
met a bunch of cool founders.
talked to people from sarvam.
saw varun mayya from like ten metres away lol.
and i think the biggest takeaway wasn’t even anything anyone said.
it was just seeing so many people building.
everyone’s kinda confused.
everyone thinks their product isn’t there yet.
everyone is shipping anyway.
for some reason that made me feel way better.
another random thought.
what if tappr didn’t feel like software.
what if it just...
lived there.
not another chat.
not another button.
not another app screaming for attention.
just something that’s around.
it notices things.
it points stuff out.
it remembers little things.
almost like another person sitting next to you while you use your phone.
idk.
that’s still the feeling i keep coming back to.
by the end of the week i finally had one sentence that actually made sense in my head.
i’m done trying to think my way into product market fit.
i should probably build my way there.
which means next week is actually pretty simple.
give the app to three to five people.
make them pay something, even if it’s fifty rupees.
tell them to use it for five days.
don’t ask “what do you think?”
ask “what did tappr completely fail to help you with yesterday?”
i think that answer is worth way more than another week of me sitting here trying to imagine the future.
anyway.
let’s see if next week’s journal has fewer thoughts and more stories.
hopefully that’s a good sign.
that’s it thanks for reading huauaha
by bye shrit
